GURDWARA PAATH
Holding a paath in the Gurdwara for a boy's fifth birthday is a beautiful, spiritual way of celebrating his growth. It brings families together, helps a young boy connect with his identity, and reminds everyone in the Gurdwara to be grateful for life and its blessings.
This was my first time photographing in a Gurdwara, a place I have a great deal of love and respect for. Being surrounded by so many people challenged me in ways that photographing in a typical setting never has. There was so much to consider, from being mindful of the space to ensuring every moment was captured with care and respect.
I put my faith in Waheguru and focused on doing what I love most: preserving a truly special moment for this young boy and his family. It was a privilege to document such a meaningful celebration, and an experience that I will always remember.
